Jefferson quoted in GOP response to State of the Union Address
Immediately following President Obama’s State of the Union address, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell delivered the Republican response and quoted Jefferson’s First Inaugural Address in making the party’s case that “the federal government is simply trying to do too much.”

There is only one problem: McDonnell distorted the Jefferson quote. For the entire story go here:
Virginia Governor Distorts Jefferson
Um,
Your link says nothing. It complains about misusing a quote, when in fact, proves nothing. Paraphrasing is not a distortion. It is unfortunately, but not distored.
With Jefferson being a Farmer, I wonder how he would look at the Health Care Debate,? If 10% of his cattle were sick would he look into changing the feed, or argue with the vet over the bill? Would he fault the FDA or the Insurance Company, for the poor health of the people.
